A member of the Walnut family, Butternut, is often referred to as “White Walnut,” because of its light tan to cinnamon-colored heartwood. With a cathedral like grain pattern, our Butternut is full of character and can make your project stand out from the crowd. Expect boards to have natural features such as live edge, knots, wane, pith, worm holes, rough edges, and/or splits.

Boxes are packed with two boards that are surfaced-2-sides and come 1 inch (actual 15/16") thick and range from 8 to 12 inches in width. Select your size preference in length by choosing between 24 inches, 45 inches or a combination of one 24 inch board and one 45 inch board. Our hardwood isn’t a finished thickness (hit or miss) and may still require you to flatten, plane, shape or sand your boards to fit your project.
