Cherry is known for its warmth and can add character to your various interior projects. It is straight-grained and machines well. It’s smooth texture makes for an excellent finish or stain. These boards are surfaced-two-sides with square edges. Our hardwood isn’t a finished thickness (hit or miss) and may still require you to flatten, plane, shape or sand your boards to fit your project.

Kiln Dried

Kiln drying allows us to control the air flow, temperature and humidity so that the hardwood dries 6%-8% uniformly and can be finished to a smooth surface.

A good bunch of cherry.

As a hobbyist it is sometimes hard to find places to source material. This place is great, I can order anytime I want and get the wood in a reasonable time. I have made several orders from them for the hobby season this year, I built a bunch of shelves, cutting boards, and tables for both inside my house and a few work tables for my garage, and I have not been disappointed yet. I have not ran into any pieces that were too wet, and only a few that had twists that I could not work out, but no more than I would normally run into. But that is where they become practice pieces or for other projects or fuel for the smoker.

This company/service has saved me a ton of time going to the lumber yard, and though the lumber yard I go to typically has 4SS wood, I actually like the 2SS wood a bit better, because it allows me a bit of leeway in gluing up panels, because I can leave them a little oversized before doing the final dimensioning after I get the panel glued, up to the dimensions that my planer can handle. Plus it is kind of fun running wood through a planer.

This pack in particular , I have ordered 2 of the 1X2X24 packs, I am using to make the body of a nightstand that will be just over 2 feet tall with the top, and from what I can see with my order I should have enough to make the project.

This Company is a hidden Gem

I really didn't want to write a review because I wanted to keep this company a secret for my wood supply.
I have placed two orders 1x4x24(6pack) Cherry and 1x4x72 (6pack) Red Oak. Both were very well packed and protected from shipping damage. The packet were shrink wrapped at the edges, holding the boards in place during shipping and making easy handling.
The wood I received was great. Planed 4s and all edges were crisp - no damage. I am over the moon with delight at this company's quality product, fast shipping and follow through.
