Build a Modular Mid Century Slide-on Bench

Build a Modular Mid Century Slide-on Bench

Our friend, Ben Uyeda, combined woodworking and metalworking to build a modular mid century slide-on bench with our 1 in x 6 in x 72 in Walnut kit. The best part about this build is that you can use any of our 6 inch wide by 72 in long hardwood kits, so you can opt for a darker hardwood like Bed did with Walnut or go lighter with a Hard Maple or White Oak. This bench is assembled without any glue or fasteners. You can quickly assemble it for extra seating or easily disassemble it to store away. This narrow bench is perfect for mudrooms, entryways or even at the end of the bed! Want to make your own? Follow the instructions in the video below!

Don't have the tools needed to metal work? No problem. You can also check out metal fabricators like Semi Exact. Semi Exact is a great resource for quality flat bar steel legs and hairpin legs that can be used for DIY benches and tables alike.
